Have you ever started out on a trip and found that everything that could go wrong did go wrong? I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. On the way to school or church or to your mother-in-law's house for Thanksgiving; Anytime you are in a rush, weird things begin to happen. Either the cat eats the car keys or you discover that a giant woodpecker has obviously pecked a hole in your tank because there is NO WAY you forgot to fill up on the way home last night. You finally get on the road and get gas in the car only to realize that you've left the baby sleeping soundly on the front porch in her car seat. so, you do an illegal U turn and speed back home to get her before the neighbors see again. It is nearly impossible to turn this trip around. It's bound to be a bad trip and you wish you could just stay home and take a nap. Unfortunately those naps are few and far between...especially on days like these.
Such is life. Sometimes the problems just keep coming and it seems that you will never reach your destination. Finally, we are ready do just lay down and quit. I can not stress to you how important it is that you just keep going. Our plans don't always succeed...but God's plans will. We should be sure that we are still on the path He set us on...and if we are, nothing can stop us. The enemy will try, Oh he WILL try. But he can not make us give up. That is our choice alone.
Even when it gets hard and you feel like giving up, don't. Just keep going. Keep trusting. The rest is up to God.
